This home is the perfect space for a family trip or a couple's getaway. As you step into the home you will find the bright and inviting living room/dining room/kitchen area in one open-space layout. You will feel right at home as you step into the space with its charming cabin decor, high ceilings with skylights bringing in more natural light, and soaring windows providing stunning views over the surrounding nature. The living room provides a spacious comfortable area to connect with your group with a large sectional sofa and reclining chair situated around a coffee table, a TV, and a fireplace in a lovely brick hearth. As you step into the home you will find the bright and inviting living room/dining room/kitchen area in one open-space layout. You will feel right at home as you step into the space with its charming cabin decor, high ceilings with skylights bringing in more natural light, and soaring windows providing stunning views over the surrounding nature. The living room provides a spacious comfortable area to connect with your group with a large sectional sofa two chairs situated around a coffee table, a brand new flat-screen SMART TV with Cable, a record player with records, and a wood fireplace in a lovely brick hearth. Tucked behind the sofa next to the large windows you will find the dining area. Enjoy a meal as a group at the large wood table with four chairs and a long bench providing plenty of seating for everyone. Rounding out the space is the open kitchen which connects to the living room across the open kitchen island. In the fully equipped kitchen, you’ll find granite countertops and stainless steel appliances plus all of the kitchenware you’ll need for home cooked meals. From the living room, you can step outside to the spacious deck where you will find everything you need to entertain outside. Enjoy a meal al fresco at the outdoor table which has seating for 6. You can even prepare your meal right outside on the BBQ. Soak up the beautiful nature views from the patio chairs, or relax away in the top-of-the-line hot tub. Even your four-legged friends will enjoy the outdoor space with a large unfenced backyard for them to run around in. When you are ready to settle in for the night head to one of the three comfortable rooms each with nightstands and lamps, a rug to warm up the space, and a large window with nature views. One of the bedrooms features a twin-over-twin bunk bed as well as a desk for those times you need to do some remote work. The bunk bed can also be converted into a couch on the lower level creating a dynamic space. The home also includes two bathrooms, the first bathroom has a large single-sink vanity with ample storage space and a lovely walk-in tiled shower with a glass door. The second bathroom features a large single-sink vanity and a shower/bathtub combo. Guests will also have access to a washer and dryer located next to the kitchen in a laundry closet. This cozy retreat is tucked off the main road in a quiet area so you can enjoy the beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings right outside your door! The house includes a large unfenced backyard for your four-legged friends to have a safe and fun trip as well. Within walking distance to the house, you will find an endless network of National Forest trails perfect for walks, runs, and bike rides in the summertime. Just a short 3-minute drive will take you to Patton Beach, a dog-friendly beach that is great for swimming. Nearby Patton Beach you will find more entertainment and dining options such as the famous Garwoods Bar and Grill, a wonderful lakefront dining experience, CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners, Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones, and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. The beautiful Carnelian West Beach provides another excellent swimming spot just a few minutes' drive from the home. In the winter months, you are only 20 minutes from Northstar, 25 minutes to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center where you will find a huge network of trails for XC Skiing or snowshoeing. A short walk from the home will take you to a small hill that is great for sledding! Those wonderful trails on the National Forest system near the home are perfect for enjoying some XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months. If a little less physical activity is what you are looking for you are just a 10-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 10 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets and major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, golf courses, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. You are also 10 minutes from the Nevada state line where you will find casinos and concert venues. This cabin is the perfect launching pad for any Lake Tahoe experience!
Centrally located off HWY 28 and within walking distance of two public transportation stop you can comfortably get by without having a vehicle if needed. Less than a mile from the home is the public transportation TART stop at Hwy 28 at Sierra Boat Co which will take you to locations such as Kings Beach. Just a half a mile from the home will take you to the TART stop at Hwy 28 at Sahara Dr, from here you are a 12-minute bus ride to Tahoe City. Easily connect to other locations at the Tahoe City Transit Center where you can find buses to locations such as Northstar California Resort. The home is also nearby a Night Rider bus stop, please note that the night rider bus is only offered seasonally. Those with a vehicle enjoy being close to HWY 28 and the quick access it provides to the beautiful surrounding areas with less than a 10-minute drive to Tahoe City or the Nevada state line. Just a two-minute drive will take you to Patton Beach, and the popular Kings Beach is an 8-minute drive away. In the wintertime, you are centrally located for skiing all of the best resorts with a 25-minute drive or less from three of the area's best ski resorts, Northstar, Squaw Valley ski resort, and Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center. Tahoe has UBER, Lyft, and many taxi companies.
Guests will have access to the entire home, a large outdoor deck, and a private hot tub. Guests will also have access to three parking places, two in the flat parking area and one on the gravel driveway in front of the home.
Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days. If you are renting this home from November through March, please remember that there may be winter driving conditions, and a 4-wheel drive with all-terrain tires or snow chains for your 2-wheel drive tires might be necessary for safe travel. Even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days, side roads can still be icy and have snow on them. Please also be aware of long travel times and pass closures due to winter weather conditions. If you are renting this home from April until the first snowfall, there are NO fires allowed in Lake Tahoe. Please note that grills and outdoor furniture are not available during the months of November to April due to snow. Please note that we do not provide firewood but it's locally available for purchase at Safeway, Ace Hardware, and 7-11. Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.
1. Smoking is NOT allowed inside the Rental Property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged to guests if smoking inside Rental Property occurs or evidence is found of smoking inside. 2. People other than included in the Guest Count may not stay in the property. Any other person on Rental Property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 3. Quiet Hours are 10pm – 8am. Excessive noise inside these hours are not permitted and will result in eviction and cancellation with no refund. 4. Rental Property is privately owned; Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the Rental Property or its facilities. The Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest and Rental Party. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that Guests and Rental Party are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the Rental Property or others whom they invite to use the Rental Property. 5. Guest agrees to keep the property and all furnishings in good order and only use appliances for their intended uses. 6. Pets are not allowed unless Owner/Manager approves the Guest request before Check In Date, pets (dog only) fees may apply. If violated, a $500 fee will be charged and the Guest will be evicted. 7. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the property unless used for amenities outside the property such as shared hot tub and pool areas. Please return the linens in the Property after use. 8. Water and Septic: The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you will be charged for any damages incurred by Property Manager or Owner. 9. Renter(s) are responsible for themselves, their family and guests at all times. Children should be supervised at all times. 10. If Rental Party exceeds the maximum occupancy Guest will be asked to leave the Rental Property with no refunds. Infants under 2 years are not counted. 11. At least one parent or adult must be present at all times when children under the age of 16 are in the Rental Property or using any of outdoor facilities such as Hot Tub. 12. Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for money, jewelry, or other valuables lost, stolen, or left behind in the Rental Property, but will use their best effort to remedy the situation. 13. No rowdy behavior is permitted. Guests must behave at all times, in a reasonable and proper manner and act in a way as to protect the Rental Property, its contents and furnishings against damage. Failure to do so could result in eviction. 14. No subletting of the Rental Property or assigning of this agreement is permitted. 15. Please note that we charge per guest after a set number. Please provide the entire group count in your reservation request. If an update to the group count is needed after confirming the reservation, the reservation cost may increase. 16. Guest must obtain approval prior to checking in early or check out late. If Guest enter the Rental Property before agreed upon Check In Time or leave the Rental Property after agreed upon Check Out Time, Guest will be charged $50/half hour. 17. Guest is responsible to learn and understand any mandates, restrictions or public health orders relating to COVID-19 before confirming a reservation. 18. Guest agrees to follow all local, state and federal level mandates, restrictions or public health orders relating to COVID-19. Violations that result in fines based on Guests' actions will be passed on to the Guest. 19. Guest agrees that they are 25 years of age or older. 20. If applicable, Guest may be responsible for loss of any parking passes/permits in amounts up to $400 per pass/permit. 21. Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are not allowed unless explicitly approved by Owner/Manager. If violated, a $500 fee will be charged to the Guest and Guest will be evicted.
