In winter, you’re less than 10 minutes from the slopes at Northstar Resort, which offers varied terrain for all levels, along with an ice skating rink and a movie theater. In summer, Northstar transforms into a hub for hikers and mountain bikers, with scenic trails and a world-class mountain biking facility. For even more hiking options, the Brockway Summit trailhead is just a 5-minute drive away. Part of the famous Tahoe Rim Trail, this trailhead provides stunning views of Lake Tahoe. When it’s time to unwind, a quick 7-minute drive takes you to Kings Beach, where you can relax on sandy beaches, rent watercraft, or explore local shops, supermarkets, spas, and a variety of restaurants. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days. Please note that the grill is only available in the summer months.

Our first but definitely not last stay to this area. Lots of special memories made meeting up with family. Great location and everything we had hoped for. Home was as described! Clean, comfortable and accommodating! Treated to a beautiful unexpected snowfall one evening. Enjoyed SO much of the surrounding areas during our 1 week stay and looking forward to planning a return visit soon. Great experience great hosts!
