Enjoy your own peaceful Lake Tahoe retreat at this inviting 5-bedroom home. As you arrive at the home you will find a sheltered walkway leading up to the front door, great for snowy winter days. Step inside and find a tiled entryway with coat hooks to store your outdoor gear and the kitchen directly to your left. The fully equipped kitchen is outfitted with spacious countertops, a double oven, and a range of kitchenware and small appliances including a waffle maker perfect for brunch, and a crockpot for warm dishes on chilly winter days. The kitchen opens up to the charming dining room where you will find a spacious table with seating for 8, a china cabinet, and a large window looking towards the trees. Adjacent to the dining room is the living room outfitted with plush furnishings situated around a charming brick fireplace. The living room has two couches and an oversized chair providing ample space for your group to settle in for a relaxing evening by the fire. Or, turn this space into your own movie theater and enjoy a show on the mounted TV with speakers located in the four corners of the room adding to the movie-watching experience. A highlight of the home is the spacious and fenced backyard. From the living room, step out to a large deck with bistro lighting, lounge chairs, and lovely views over the surrounding trees. A hot tub is situated just off the deck so you can quickly go from inside right into the hot tub, ideal for chilly winter days. Step down from the deck into the large fenced backyard where you will find a BBQ, an outdoor dining table with an umbrella, and several wooden outdoor chairs. Your group is going to love spending time out in this private outdoor area! Back inside the home, you will find the first bedroom down the hallway from the living room. This bedroom features a queen-size bed with a large closet, a flat-screen TV, and sliding doors that open up to the backyard. On the other side of the hallway is an office with a large desk and rolling chair providing a great workspace for those needing to keep up with remote work during their stay. Guests can also access the attached garage through the office. Situated in between the downstairs bedroom and office is a full-size bathroom, an updated space that features a single-sink vanity, and a spacious shower with a sliding glass door. On the upper floor, you will find a spacious and dynamic room that can be used as a second living room and/or a bedroom. Whether you are looking to relax or entertain this room has everything you need! Tucked down a short hallway just off the stairs, the room offers a quiet and private area away from the rest of the house. When you first walk in you will find the living room portion of the space outfitted with a plush couch next to a charming red brick hearth with a fireplace and a 50” TV. Behind the couch is a table with seating for 4. Situated next to the windows that line the back wall, the table is the perfect spot for working on puzzles with your group while taking in the views over the trees. Adjacent to the table is a king-size bed from which you can enjoy the same beautiful views right from the comfort of the bed. Adding to the charm of this room is access to the upper floor deck where you will find a bistro-style table with 2 chairs. Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee out here while taking in the lovely tree views, a peaceful way to ease into a busy day of fun in Tahoe. Rounding out this bedroom/living room is a full bathroom with a single-sink vanity and a spacious shower with lovely tile work and a glass shower door. This inviting retreat is tucked off the main road in a quiet area, so you can enjoy the beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings right outside your door! Within walking distance to the house, you will find an endless network of National Forest trails perfect for walks, runs, and bike rides in the summertime. Just a short 2-minute drive will take you to Patton Beach, a beach that is great for swimming. Nearby Patton Beach you will find more entertainment and dining options such as the famous Garwoods Bar and Grill, a wonderful lakefront dining experience, CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners, Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones, and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. The beautiful Carnelian West Beach provides another excellent swimming spot just a few minutes drive from the home. In the winter months, you are only 14 minutes from Northstar, 22 minutes to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center where you will find a huge network of trails for XC Skiing or snowshoeing. A short walk from the home will take you to a small hill that is great for sledding! And, all those wonderful trails on the National Forest system near the home are perfect for enjoying some XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months. If a little less physical activity is what you are looking for, you are just a 10-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 10 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets and major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, golf courses, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. You are also 10 minutes from the Nevada state line, where you will find casinos and concert venues. This home is the perfect launching pad for any Lake Tahoe experience!
Centrally located off HWY 28 and within walking distance of a public transportation stop, you can comfortably get by without having a vehicle if needed. Less than a 5-minute walk from the home is the public transportation TART stop at Hwy 28 at Sahara Dr, which will take you to locations such as Tahoe City. Just under half a mile from the home will take you to the TART stop on Hwy 28 at Agate Sun Club Pier, which will take you to Kings Beach or Northstar Ski Resort. The home is also near a Night Rider bus stop, please note that the night rider bus is only offered seasonally. Those with a vehicle enjoy being close to HWY 28 and the quick access it provides to the beautiful surrounding areas, with less than a 10-minute drive to Tahoe City or the Nevada state line. Just a two-minute drive will take you to Patton Beach, and the popular Kings Beach is an 8-minute drive away. In the wintertime, you are centrally located for skiing all of the best resorts with a 25-minute drive or less from three of the area's best ski resorts, Northstar, Squaw Valley ski resort, and Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center. Tahoe has UBER, Lyft, and many taxi companies.
Guests will have access to the entire home, a fenced backyard, and a private hot tub. Guests will also have access to four parking places between the garage and driveway in front of the home.
Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days. If you are renting this home from November through March, please remember that there may be winter driving conditions, and a 4-wheel drive with all-terrain tires or snow chains for your 2-wheel drive tires might be necessary for safe travel. Even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days, side roads can still be icy and have snow on them. Please also be aware of long travel times and pass closures due to winter weather conditions. If you are renting this home from April until the first snowfall, there are NO fires allowed in Lake Tahoe. Please note that grills and outdoor furniture are not available during the months of November to April due to snow. Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.
1. Smoking is NOT allowed inside the Rental Property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged to guests if smoking inside Rental Property occurs or evidence is found of smoking inside. 2. People other than included in the Guest Count may not stay in the property. Any other person on Rental Property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 3. Quiet Hours are 10pm – 8am. Excessive noise inside these hours are not permitted and will result in eviction and cancellation with no refund. 4. Rental Property is privately owned; Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the Rental Property or its facilities. The Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest and Rental Party. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that Guests and Rental Party are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the Rental Property or others whom they invite to use the Rental Property. 5. Guest agrees to keep the property and all furnishings in good order and only use appliances for their intended uses. 6. Pets are not allowed. If violated, a $500 fee will be charged and Guest will be evicted. 7. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the property unless used for amenities outside the property such as shared hot tub and pool areas. Please return the linens in the Property after use. 8. Water and Septic: The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you will be charged for any damages incurred by Property Manager or Owner. 9. Renter(s) are responsible for themselves, their family and guests at all times. Children should be supervised at all times. 10. If Rental Party exceeds the maximum occupancy Guest will be asked to leave the Rental Property with no refunds. Infants under 2 years are not counted. 11. At least one parent or adult must be present at all times when children under the age of 16 are in the Rental Property or using any of outdoor facilities such as Hot Tub. 12. Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for money, jewelry, or other valuables lost, stolen, or left behind in the Rental Property, but will use their best effort to remedy the situation. 13. No rowdy behavior is permitted. Guests must behave at all times, in a reasonable and proper manner and act in a way as to protect the Rental Property, its contents and furnishings against damage. Failure to do so could result in eviction. 14. No subletting of the Rental Property or assigning of this agreement is permitted. 15. Please note that we charge per guest after a set number. Please provide the entire group count in your reservation request. If an update to the group count is needed after confirming the reservation, the reservation cost may increase. 16. Guest must obtain approval prior to checking in early or check out late. If Guest enter the Rental Property before agreed upon Check In Time or leave the Rental Property after agreed upon Check Out Time, Guest will be charged $50/half hour. 17. Guest is responsible to learn and understand any mandates, restrictions or public health orders relating to COVID-19 before confirming a reservation. 18. Guest agrees to follow all local, state and federal level mandates, restrictions or public health orders relating to COVID-19. Violations that result in fines based on Guests' actions will be passed on to the Guest. 19. Guest agrees that they are 25 years of age or older. 20. If applicable, Guest may be responsible for loss of any parking passes/permits in amounts up to $400 per pass/permit. 21. Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are not allowed unless explicitly approved by Owner/Manager. If violated, a $500 fee will be charged to the Guest and Guest will be evicted.
