A car is highly recommended to fully enjoy the Truckee and North Lake Tahoe area, as public transportation can be limited. The property is located near a free shuttle line that services parts of the region. On-site parking is available for 3 vehicles between the garage and the driveway; please note that street parking is strictly prohibited.
Guests will have access to the entire side of the duplex, including the second-floor patio. All amenities, including the in-unit laundry, gas grill, and fire pit, are private for guest use.
Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts’ opening and closing dates. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

The house is beautiful, spacious and has a nice view.. Kitchen has everything you need.. We have a wonderful time . Planning to visit next year..

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful home in Schaffers Mill! Our host was very responsive and everything we needed was easy to find close to Northstar, grocery store and Truckee!! We love that the home had three king beds, which is a huge plus. We would absolutely stay here again!!! Quiet, peaceful and relaxing vacation.

We stayed for a wedding weekend and it was perfect! It was a great location, perfect amount of space, and better than any hotel we could find! It was incredibly clean and the response time by the host for any questions we had was very fast. Highly recommend and will return in the future!!

As another reviewer noted, the home is nicer and more spacious than pictured. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a coffee bar with my favorite: Peet's. The place felt super clean, beds were comfortable and had plenty of extra pillows and blankets. Safe, gated location. It was a great stay!
