If you’re seeking an active getaway with endless outdoor activities, this retreat is in the perfect spot! Situated just 2 miles from Northstar Resort, this home gives you access to year-round entertainment and activities at the resort and in the nearby Northstar Village. Winter brings fantastic slopes for all skill levels, along with family-friendly amenities like an ice skating rink, movie theater, shopping, and dining options in the Village—ensuring everyone stays entertained. In summer, Northstar transforms into a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with scenic hiking trails, a world-class mountain biking facility, and the Northstar Golf Course just a 6-minute drive away. Only 14 minutes in one direction, you’ll find Kings Beach, with Lake Tahoe’s sandy shores, shops, restaurants, and grocery options. A 14-minute drive in the other direction leads to historic Truckee, where you can enjoy river rafting, bike paths, boutique shopping, and a lively nightlife scene.
The property is on a free shuttle line. Guests can download the Northstar app for easy access to the free dial-a-ride shuttle. There are also daily TART (Tahoe Area Rapid Transportation) routes to and from Kings Beach and Truckee. The closest bus stop is at Northstar Village Gate #8, just over a mile from the condo, with routes heading south to Kings Beach and north to Truckee. If you’d like to visit Donner Lake, it’s a short 18-minute drive away, offering scenic views and outdoor activities year-round.
Guests will have access to the entire home and 6 on-site parking spaces, 2 in the garage and 4 in the driveway. Guests also have access to shared amenities for a $10 daily fee that includes a pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center.
Please note that like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days. Please note that the grill is only available in the summer months.

I hate to leave a good review because I want this place available for me again every time I go to Tahoe lol but the state was fantastic. The hose were incredibly fast to respond with all questions. The house is fully set up and beautiful and clean beds and sheets were awesome. I wish there was a seven star to be able to give this stay. Thanks for having us and you’ll see us again soon. Hopefully when there’s more snow.

Gorgeous place and good amenities. The layout of the house is especially well designed. The kitchen has everything you need for you to cook a meal. The master bed is huge. The bunk beds are a bit stiff, but that’s to be expected. Would appreciate a 11am checkout; 10 felt a bit early for us, but this is quoted at the time of booking, so no complaints. Overall would stay again; it was good value for the two families for our trip

Excellent location with easy access to hiking trails. The shuttle service (for skiing) from/to the driveway was awesome. My family really enjoyed the split level layout which kept the noise from the living room/kitchen areas isolated from the lower level bedrooms. And, the fact that this home is dog friendly is a huge bonus as my dog really loves to visit the mountains. My family and I definitely plant to return for another nice stay.
