The home is within a 5-minute walk to the nearest public transportation stop HWY 267 AT Speckled St which runs every hour. Or make the short drive down to King's Beach where you can use the FREE park and ride to reach locations such as Olympic Park and Northstar California Resort. With HWY 89 just minutes away, you can easily make day trips to many of the stunning surrounding areas located around Tahoe City. Tahoe has UBER, Lyft, and many taxi companies.
Guests have private use of the entire cabin, deck, fenced yard, and two driveway parking spaces. Please note that this property does not have a dishwasher.
No separate indoor dining table; meals are at the kitchen counter/bar, with outdoor dining in warmer months. No dishwasher or washer/dryer; nearby laundromats are available. Like most homes in Lake Tahoe, there is no A/C. The screened slider, windows, and ceiling fans help bring in cooler evening air, but the cabin can get warm during summer heat waves. Winter road conditions change quickly; AWD/4WD or chains may be needed during storms. Please also be aware of long travel times and pass closures due to winter weather conditions. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days. If you are renting this home from April until the first snowfall, there are NO fires allowed in Lake Tahoe. Please note that grills and outdoor furniture are not available during the months of November to April due to snow. Please note that guests would need to move their vehicles ASAP on a snowy day. Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.
