A vehicle is recommended to explore the area. The home is a short drive from I-80, historic Truckee, ski resorts, and lakes. To reach the property in winter months, guests will need 4x4 vehicles with snow tires and/or chains as there is a long, steep driveway. SUVs are recommended. Please check the weather and arrive prepared.
Guests have access to the entire home, garage, and all listed amenities.
Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days. No parking on the sloped portion of the driveway or street

Great place, very comfortable and cozy. The view into the forest and the smell that comes into when opening the windows is great. House has everything needed, all is very clean, beds comfortable. One detail I didn’t expect (maybe it was mentioned, and I just didn’t notice in the description?) is that one bedroom (with 2 beds) is walk through. You need to go through it to get into another king bed room and then go again to get out or get to the bathroom. Since we were a group of business professionals, it turned out to be a bit inconvenient and awkward for people who had to stay in these 2 rooms. Other than that everything was perfect!

10/10 Loved the house & location. Very spacious home, beautiful setting, and just a short drive down the mountain to downtown Truckee. No issues whatsoever with the house or host and would definitely consider staying again

We found the place to be clean, with lots of seating for a larger group. The area was very cute and centrally located for easy access to the lake and skiing. The kitchen was well equipped and the hosts communicated well. We would definitely stay here again!
