Experience great mountain adventures when you book this comfortable 2,850 sq ft Peak 8 Lodge which sleeps up to 10! The shuttle bus stop is nearby, with only 2 stops to Peak 8 and world-class skiing. The Cucumber Gulch trails, which includes cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, hiking and mountain biking in the summer, are just outside the back door. The Lodge is a few steps away from the Breckenridge Nordic Center which has 50 km of trails to explore!

Space


Our Lodge has four bedrooms and four and one-half bathrooms. It also has an upstairs loft and downstairs den so the kids can spread out. The kitchen is a chef’s delight with stainless steel appliances, custom granite counters, gas range, and a wine cooler. It has a coffee pot and Keurig for extra caffeination. There is a Weber gas grill on the deck where you can cook and enjoy the amazing view of the Peak 7 ski slopes. There is also seating on the deck where you can enjoy your favorite beverage after a busy day of hiking. After a hard day of skiing enjoy the new (as of February 2020) very private 7 person Jacuzzi hot tub surrounded by trees, stars and the adjacent ski chair sculpture. The only human being you might see is the occasional Nordic skier on the nearby trail. Moose are frequent neighborhood visitors in the summer and fall. The deck has a 180-degree view of the National Forest for enhanced privacy, solitude and views of nature. There are four bedrooms, with two king beds, one queen, and a bedroom with two singles. The master bath has been totally updated. Enjoy the cozy gas fireplace and DVD library along with ample board games in the living room. The living room is flooded with daylight from many windows. The Lodge has free WiFi and a Bose Wave music system. There is also a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Whether you are coming for skiing, hiking or the nightlife this beautiful Lodge is close to everything. Breckenridge has 5 mountains of skiing, so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Next to the F lot are outstanding restaurants Mi Casa (Mexican) and Mountain Flying Fish (sushi) If there is lots of fresh snow and snow packed roads, this is a ski In home by taking Peak 8 4 O’Clock run. Exit at the Breckenridge Freeride Park sign just after the large American flag. Ski down Grandview Drive 3 blocks to the Lodge at Ski Hill Road and the Nordic Center. Best with fresh snow or rental skis. Please note that like most homes in Breckenridge, we do not have A/C. Breckenridge STR License number: 458570001

Neighborhood


The home is on Peak 8 and is close to everything; conveniently located within walking distance to epic Peak 8 activities! In the winter, the slopes are easily accessible via the Breckenridge Free Ride Bus (bus stop right outside the entrance to the Nordic Center). Biking and hiking trailheads are right nearby, including the Freeride Park (just a few hundred yards away) and the Four O’Clock Trail which leads to the Reservoir. The Peak 8 neighborhood is ideal for getting to and from town with the Breckenridge Free Ride Bus. You will have access to dining and shopping experiences in town that you won't want to miss. Take a stroll down Breck’s Main Street and you might find yourself stumbling into an art festival, discovering a beer festival, seeing historic homes built in the 1800s or enjoying local musicians playing outside as you take a scenic stroll. Main Street has year-round fun and be sure to visit Crepes a la Cart for the classic mountain crepes experience. Outdoor adventure is easy to access from the home. Nearby trails include Cucumber Gulch, which runs right across the street! It's a lightly trafficked out and back trail featuring gorgeous wildflowers that is best explored July-September. It's a great hike for all skill levels! Further out you'll find Peaks Trail via Breckenridge, a 7.8 mile point-to-point trail that is better from April to September. It's a moderate trail, so a little better for those that want a bit more of a challenge.

Transit


The shuttle bus is just 3 houses away. The home is also two stops to F lot in town where you can explore the charming and historic town of Breckenridge. Ubers/Lyfts are also available.

Access


Guests have access to the entire home including the hot tub and garage.

Notes


Things to know: Free Wi-Fi Full kitchen Heated garage A 4x4 is recommended between October–May Parking Notes: Two parking spaces in the driveway plus garage. Please note that the tub is serviced between guests. Sometimes the tub is just chemically treated, but sometimes it has to be drained and refilled. Because of this, please note that the tub may be cold on your arrival and may not be hot on the first night of your stay. As such, if you wish to use it, please ensure you turn it on and turn up the temperature when you arrive. Be sure to keep the cover closed at all times when the tub is not in use! Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

House Rules


1. Smoking is NOT allowed inside the Rental Property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged to guests if smoking inside Rental Property occurs or evidence is found of smoking inside. 2. People other than included in the Guest Count may not stay in the property. Any other person on Rental Property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 3. Quiet Hours are 10pm – 8am. Excessive noise inside these hours are not permitted and will result in eviction and cancellation with no refund. 4. Rental Property is privately owned; Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the Rental Property or its facilities. The Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest and Rental Party. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that Guests and Rental Party are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the Rental Property or others whom they invite to use the Rental Property. 5. Guest agrees to keep the property and all furnishings in good order and only use appliances for their intended uses. 6. Pets are not allowed. If violated, a $500 fee will be charged and Guest will be evicted. 7. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the property unless used for amenities outside the property such as shared hot tub and pool areas. Please return the linens in the Property after use. 8. Water and Septic: The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you will be charged for any damages incurred by Property Manager or Owner. 9. Renter(s) are responsible for themselves, their family and guests at all times. Children should be supervised at all times. 10. If Rental Party exceeds the maximum occupancy Guest will be asked to leave the Rental Property with no refunds. Infants under 2 years are not counted. 11. At least one parent or adult must be present at all times when children under the age of 16 are in the Rental Property or using any of outdoor facilities such as Hot Tub. 12. Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for money, jewelry, or other valuables lost, stolen, or left behind in the Rental Property, but will use their best effort to remedy the situation. 13. No rowdy behavior is permitted. Guests must behave at all times, in a reasonable and proper manner and act in a way as to protect the Rental Property, its contents and furnishings against damage. Failure to do so could result in eviction. 14. No subletting of the Rental Property or assigning of this agreement is permitted. 15. Please note that we charge per guest after a set number. Please provide the entire group count in your reservation request. If an update to the group count is needed after confirming the reservation, the reservation cost may increase. 16. Guest must obtain approval prior to checking in early or check out late. If Guest enter the Rental Property before agreed upon Check In Time or leave the Rental Property after agreed upon Check Out Time, Guest will be charged $50/half hour. 17. Guest is responsible to learn and understand any mandates, restrictions or public health orders relating to COVID-19 before confirming a reservation. 18. Guest agrees to follow all local, state and federal level mandates, restrictions or public health orders relating to COVID-19. Violations that result in fines based on Guests' actions will be passed on to the Guest. 19. Guest agrees that they are 25 years of age or older. 20. If applicable, Guest may be responsible for loss of any parking passes/permits in amounts up to $400 per pass/permit. 21. Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are not allowed unless explicitly approved by Owner/Manager. If violated, a $500 fee will be charged to the Guest and Guest will be evicted.
