Carnelian Bay is a charming lakeside town with easy access to Lake Tahoe’s beaches, hiking trails, and ski resorts. Enjoy boating, paddleboarding, and fishing in the summer, or head to nearby Northstar or Palisades Tahoe for winter skiing. Local dining and shopping options in Tahoe City and Kings Beach are just minutes away.
A car is recommended for exploring the area. Nearby Tahoe City offers dining and shopping, while ski resorts and outdoor attractions are easily accessible within a short drive.
Guests have full access to the home, including the deck and balcony. Parking is available in the driveway for up to 4 vehicles.
Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. Please note that like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. Please also be aware that the primary heat source of this home is the fireplace. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

LocalVR Tahoe's listing was just what we were looking for. Our view was exceptional, the property was comfortable and the decor matched the mountain getaway we were looking for. Beaches were a short 7 minute drive away, shops and cafes 10 minutes away and the neighborhood offered beautiful walks through the trees.

We had a great stay in Carnelian Bay! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our trip. The location was great and made it easy to get around and enjoy Tahoe.
