Carnelian Bay is a charming lakeside town with easy access to Lake Tahoe’s beaches, hiking trails, and ski resorts. Enjoy boating, paddleboarding, and fishing in the summer, or head to nearby Northstar or Palisades Tahoe for winter skiing. Local dining and shopping options in Tahoe City and Kings Beach are just minutes away.
A car is recommended for exploring the area. Nearby Tahoe City offers dining and shopping, while ski resorts and outdoor attractions are easily accessible within a short drive.
Guests have full access to the home, including the deck and balcony. Parking is available in the driveway for up to 4 vehicles.
Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. Please note that like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. Please also be aware that the primary heat source of this home is the fireplace. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

We absolutely loved this spot. Yes, it's close to road, so you will hear road traffic, but the space and view more than make up for it. Everything was clean and organized. Appreciated that they had black makeup towels. It was exactly what we were looking for: a place to rest and recharge. We'd love to come back.

We had such a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful, private, and had a great view of Lake Tahoe. The host was really responsive (including when we managed to accidentally lock ourselves out the first morning) and we really appreciated everything they did to make sure we were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

This home was absolutely stunning. Our first day was cold and rainy, but throwing on the fireplace and looking out the large open windows at the mountains made up for it. The views are beautiful. The home has the perfect rustic/modern feel to it and flows just perfectly. Great utilization of space and don't get me started on how amazing the decor is. There is no detail missed. Everything felt well maintained and clean, and was stocked with plenty to get you by. We went during shoulder season, which we were told by the locals is the best time to go, so crowds weren't an issue at parks. Location was great. We wanted that northern Tahoe feel. It was so Peaceful but also plenty close to eateries and things to do. We are looking forward to coming back again in the future!
