Skiers and snowboarders are ideally positioned between world-class peaks, with Northstar California Resort just 9.1 miles away and Palisades Tahoe within a 14-mile drive. Beyond downhill skiing and riding, the surrounding basin offers groomed Nordic trails at Tahoe XC and peaceful snowshoeing routes along scenic alpine ridges. After an active day on the mountain, Carnelian Bay and nearby Tahoe City provide a relaxed, authentic aprés-ski atmosphere. Unwind at welcoming lakeside bistros, warm up at casual taverns serving hearty alpine fare, or browse boutique shops in the historic downtown districts. The tranquil, snow-dusted shoreline creates an inviting escape from the busier resort corridors.
A car is strongly recommended to explore North Lake Tahoe and reach nearby ski areas, as public transportation and rideshare services are limited. On-site parking accommodates up to 4 vehicles, featuring 1 covered carport space to shield your vehicle from overnight snow accumulation and 3 uncovered driveway spaces. During winter storms, local highway authorities frequently require 4-wheel drive or snow chains on Highway 28 and mountain passes, making winter-ready vehicles essential.
Guests have access to the entire home, including the private deck with gas grill, the dedicated game room, and on-site parking for up to 4 vehicles (1 covered carport space, 3 uncovered driveway spaces). All primary amenities and in-unit laundry are private for guest use. The owner's closet is locked for private storage and is not accessible to guests.
Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. Please note that like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

We had a great stay! The location was perfect just a short walk to the lake and close to stores, restaurants, and everything we needed. The place was clean and comfortable, and the host was very responsive whenever we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!
