Situated just minutes away from the sandy shores of Lake Tahoe, you can’t beat the location of this home for summer fun. A quick one-minute drive, or five-minute walk, will take you to Sandy Beach, a beautiful small beach located through the trees. Or make the quick 5-minute drive to Waterman’s Landing, which is a pet-friendly beach great for swimming and where you can rent every type of watercraft imaginable. Nearby Patton Beach you will find more entertainment and dining options such as the famous Garwoods Bar and Grill, a wonderful lakefront dining experience, CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners, Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones, and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. The beautiful Carnelian West Beach provides another excellent swimming spot just a five-minute drive from the home. In the winter months, you are only 10 minutes from Northstar, 25 minutes from Palisades Tahoe, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center where you will find a huge network of trails for XC Skiing or snowshoeing. If a little less physical activity is what you are looking for, you are just a 14-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 3 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets and major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, golf courses, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. You are also 10 minutes from the Nevada state line, where you will find casinos and concert venues. This home is the perfect launching pad for any Lake Tahoe experience!
Centrally located off HWY 28 the home is a short 3-minute walk to a public transportation stop, so you can comfortably get by without having a vehicle if needed. Just 0.2 miles away, you will find the public transportation TART stop at Hwy 28 at National Ave (Shelter). From here you are just a 20-minute bus ride to Tahoe City where you can easily connect to other locations at the Tahoe City Transit Center to locations such as Northstar California Resort. Those with a vehicle enjoy being close to HWY 28 and the quick access it provides to the beautiful surrounding areas, with less than a 15-minute drive to Tahoe City and a 10-minute drive to the Nevada state line. Just a five-minute drive will take you to Patton Beach, and in the opposite direction, the popular Kings Beach is only a 3-minute drive away. In the wintertime, you are centrally located for skiing all of the best resorts with a 25-minute drive or less from three of the area's best ski resorts, Northstar, Squaw Valley ski resort, and Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center. Tahoe has UBER, Lyft, and many taxi companies.
Guests will have access to the entire home, a large outdoor balcony, and parking with 2 spaces in the garage and 4 spaces on the driveway in front of the home.
Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days. Please note that the grill is only available in the summer months.

Had an amazing time in Kings Beach, I don’t think you can find a better place in the area. Comfortable, clean, and plenty of amenities. Amazing view from the balcony too. Absolutely recommend staying here!

My family and I had a very pleasant stay at LocalVR Tahoe’s home. The host was informative, responsive, and friendly. The home itself had a cozy cabin vibe and had all the amenities like reliable wi-fi, fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace, and comfortable beds. My Family and I planned a trip to Lake Tahoe, so obviously we needed a place to stay we wanted something relaxing and somewhere where we would be able to walk for breakfast and lunch. This place a was exactly that. Very close to the lake as well which was something we where also looking for, place was very neat and instruction to get to the place where clear as well has how to enter the home, would definitely recommend.

Love this place! We can’t wait to stay again. Photos and descriptions are accurate. Comfortable beds and furniture. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck with morning coffee. There was a great steakhouse right across the road.
