Experience classic Old Tahoe charm in this 1949 cabin! The charming home boasts the original pine paneling and a log exterior, with evergreens and forest plants surrounding the home. This home will be your own peaceful retreat in Tahoe! In the winter time, curl up in the cozy great room while you keep warm by the wood-burning fireplace, and in the summer months take in the sunshine from the spacious deck or enjoy a nap in the sun in the hammock. Situated in a great location just 2 blocks from the beach and 3 miles south of Tahoe City, you will have everything you need for year-round fun in Tahoe. Inside the home you will find the perfect blend of vintage Tahoe charm and modern comforts. When you enter the home, you will arrive at the warm and inviting living room, a space filled with charm from the pine paneling walls and ceiling to the stone hearth fireplace. Kick back and relax in the living room on the plush furnishings while you enjoy a movie night in, or listen to the musician in your group play some tunes on the piano. The open layout of the main level seamlessly connects the living room to the dining room and kitchen. Whip up tasty dishes in the well-equipped kitchen and then bring them hot from the oven to the 8 person dining table to enjoy family-style meals with your loved ones. A main-level bedroom makes efficient use of its space with one queen and one twin over queen bunk bed. Rounding out the main level is an updated full bathroom with beautiful slate tile walk-in shower, and a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer. Head up to the upper floor to find the two additional bedrooms, each boasting classic dormer ceilings and windows filling the rooms with natural light. The first bedroom includes two queen-size beds, and the second bedroom has two XL twin beds. Each of the rooms includes carpeting for added comfort, a chair, and a dresser for storing your personal items. In the summer months, you will love utilizing the spacious wrap-around deck, surrounded by evergreens it is a dreamy outdoor space. Relax in the hammock or enjoy conversations with your group on the patio set, the outdoor area is a great extension of the home for relaxing and entertaining. Neighborhood


Located on a quiet road surrounded by a beautiful forested area, this home is in an excellent location for enjoying everything Lake Tahoe has to offer. In the winter months the home places you near some of the best slopes in the area with both Alpine Meadows Ski Resort and Tahoe Ski Resort a 1-minute drive away, Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center 13 minutes away, and Homewood Ski Resort just 5 minutes away. If you are looking for some great XC skiing or snowshoeing, you are just minutes away from the popular trails at Paige Meadows. During the summer months, you are a 2 block walk to Hurricane Bay, and less than a 10-minute drive to Commons Beach, a popular four-acre beach and park. Here you can rent any type of watercraft imaginable, and enjoy great swimming, and BBQ areas. Or, make a quick 2-minute drive up the road to the famous Sunnyside Restaurant and Marina, where you can find great food and watercraft rentals. Just around the corner is the Ward Creek State Park with boardwalk walking trails with well-marked trails that go on for miles and miles. You are also near the Lake Tahoe Bike Path, or if some high alpine hiking is what you are into, Paige Meadows is only a 6-minute drive up the hill where you will find beautiful meadows lined with a vast network of trails that connect you to the Pacific Crest Trail and the Tahoe Rim Trail. For those in your group looking for a little less outdoor time, Tahoe City is less than a 10-minute drive where you will find many cute boutique shops, a wide variety of bars and restaurants, farmers markets, and live music. When it comes to a great location for everything Lake Tahoe has to offer, this house cannot be beat!

Transit


Guests at this home can easily explore all the area has to offer even without a vehicle thanks to the public transportation TART stop that is just a few minutes walk from your front door! Just a 5-minute walk from the home is the TART stop HWY 89 Timberland DR Lakeside which runs every hour. Be in Tahoe City with an under 10-minute bus ride and be able to easily connect to other routes taking you around the surrounding areas and to the ski resorts. For those with a vehicle, enjoy the home’s close driving proximity to Tahoe City where you can drive in 6 minutes, and even use the FREE park-and-ride to reach locations such as Olympic Park and Northstar California Resort. With HWY 89 just minutes away, you can easily make day trips to many of the stunning surrounding areas located around Tahoe City. Tahoe has UBER, Lyft, and many taxi companies.

Access


Guests will have access to the entire home and a wrap-around deck. Guests will also have access to three parking places in the driveway in front of the home.

Notes


Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C. Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used. 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

House Rules


1. Smoking is NOT allowed inside the Rental Property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged to guests if smoking inside Rental Property occurs or evidence is found of smoking inside. 2. People other than included in the Guest Count may not stay in the property. Any other person on Rental Property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 3. Quiet Hours are 10pm – 8am. Excessive noise inside these hours are not permitted and will result in eviction and cancellation with no refund. 4. Rental Property is privately owned; Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the Rental Property or its facilities. The Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest and Rental Party. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that Guests and Rental Party are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the Rental Property or others whom they invite to use the Rental Property. 5. Guest agrees to keep the property and all furnishings in good order and only use appliances for their intended uses. 6. Pets are not allowed. If violated, a $500 fee will be charged and Guest will be evicted. 7. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the property unless used for amenities outside the property such as shared hot tub and pool areas. Please return the linens in the Property after use. 8. Water and Septic: The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you will be charged for any damages incurred by Property Manager or Owner. 9. Renter(s) are responsible for themselves, their family and guests at all times. Children should be supervised at all times. 10. If Rental Party exceeds the maximum occupancy Guest will be asked to leave the Rental Property with no refunds. Infants under 2 years are not counted. 11. At least one parent or adult must be present at all times when children under the age of 16 are in the Rental Property or using any of outdoor facilities such as Hot Tub. 12. Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for money, jewelry, or other valuables lost, stolen, or left behind in the Rental Property, but will use their best effort to remedy the situation. 13. No rowdy behavior is permitted. Guests must behave at all times, in a reasonable and proper manner and act in a way as to protect the Rental Property, its contents and furnishings against damage. Failure to do so could result in eviction. 14. No subletting of the Rental Property or assigning of this agreement is permitted. 15. Please note that we charge per guest after a set number. Please provide the entire group count in your reservation request. If an update to the group count is needed after confirming the reservation, the reservation cost may increase. 16. Guest must obtain approval prior to checking in early or check out late. If Guest enter the Rental Property before agreed upon Check In Time or leave the Rental Property after agreed upon Check Out Time, Guest will be charged $50/half hour. 17. Guest is responsible to learn and understand any mandates, restrictions or public health orders relating to COVID-19 before confirming a reservation. 18. Guest agrees to follow all local, state and federal level mandates, restrictions or public health orders relating to COVID-19. Violations that result in fines based on Guests' actions will be passed on to the Guest. 19. Guest agrees that they are 25 years of age or older. 20. If applicable, Guest may be responsible for loss of any parking passes/permits in amounts up to $400 per pass/permit. 21. Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are not allowed unless explicitly approved by Owner/Manager. If violated, a $500 fee will be charged to the Guest and Guest will be evicted.
