Access to this home is via a 10-mile gravel road maintained by the National Forest Service. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is strongly recommended due to the rugged terrain and potential snow. The drive takes about an hour from Hwy 133, offering incredible views and a true off-the-beaten-path experience. Take your time as you ascend the mountain, roll the windows down, and take pictures of the unfolding landscape. Crested Butte and Paonia are both nearby, offering charming mountain town vibes and local attractions for a day trip.
Guests have full access to the entire home and its amenities, including the game room, outdoor fire pit, and the private patio with mountain views. Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) and Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) are also options, with GJT being 30 minutes further away than MTJ. For those traveling from farther away, Denver International Airport (DEN) is about 5 ½ hours from the lodge by car, plus an extra hour from the airport. - Home is 1 hour and 5 minutes from Crested Butte, with a 30-minute drive to Kebler Pass and an additional 35 minutes from Kebler Pass to Crested Butte. - The property can accommodate small events. I’m not sure how to accurately describe how beautiful this hidden gem is! We had our Dad, kids and our grandkids with us, and we’re a tad nervous the kids may not be entertained. This magnificent home is tucked away in the most gorgeous valley you’ve ever seen! The mornings were so special, having our coffee on the porch while hummingbirds fluttered around. We watched a black bear eating berries. We also hiked, looked for treasures, took long naps, rode the ATV and fished the stream. Needless to say the kids (15-1 month age range) were thoroughly happy and didn’t want to leave! It’s their favorite destination so far. Long talks and stories were shared without distraction. It’s very remote, but there’s something special about that. The house and all the amenities are exceptional!

Absolutely the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. Held a micro wedding and host was very helpful and responded quickly! Often reaching out to make sure I had everything for the wedding (photography, seating, etc). The views, breath taking. Hummingbirds and chipmunks galore! The neighbors horses visited us every night! The kids loved walking to the creek and fishing! Ready to plan another trip!

The views are amazing and breathtaking. We saw several Elk, Mule Deer, Turkey, and lots of fish in Little Robinson creek. My family had a blast, and we definitely plan to book this house again next year!!!
